Set Boundaries for AI Agents

Decide what AI agents can do, when they must ask, and where people stay in control.

Bot0 helps organizations design how people, AI agents, and machines work together, evaluate the operational and financial impact before committing, and turn those designs into governed execution.

AI Agents can do the work. But is the work getting better? And who owns the outcome?

Organizations are adding AI agents to operating models built primarily for people. But adding agents doesn't necessarily improve the work.

Real improvement requires rethinking who does what, how work moves between people, agents, and machines, and who makes decisions. It also requires understanding the impact of those choices on performance, economics, and control.

01 · People

The workforce is changing. The organization hasn't caught up.

Roles, staffing, and accountability need to reflect agentic formations and new cost structures.

02 · Economics

Agents optimize local metrics. The whole flow can suffer.

Run your agentic operating model from the value stream, so optimization stays end to end.

03 · Operations

Agents are executing. Who owns and controls the consequences?

Execution spans handoffs, exceptions, decisions, and systems of record.

From intent to implementation

01DESIGN

Make the work explicit.

Greenfield or brownfield: start from the work you will need, or bring the work you run as a description, a document, a BPMN model or an event log. Keep what is stated, what is measured and what still needs a decision apart.

02SIMULATE

Know what it’s worth before you commit.

Compare alternatives on cost, capacity, throughput and cycle time, and on the measures your industry runs on — quality, errors and rework, service levels. See the assumptions behind the numbers and the constraints that still matter.

03REALIZE

Put the design into practice.

Prepare the work order, agent briefs, grounding and authority for a selected destination. Review what that destination can enforce.

Before you get started.

What is a work system?

Everything needed to produce an outcome repeatedly: the work, who or what performs it, how participants coordinate, the systems they use, and who has authority over the result.

Do I need to build the agents first?

You can model and simulate a proposed work system before its agents are built. The simulation evaluates the design and its assumptions; it is not evidence of live agent performance.

Where should I start?

Choose one work system where AI might materially change cost, capacity, speed or service. Describe the work, bring an existing document, BPMN model or event log, or build the model directly.
